Fitchburg Police responded to a report of an armed robbery Wednesday morning, according to a release.

Officials said the call came in at 1:34 a.m. for an armed robbery in the 5100 block of Anton Drive.

The investigation revealed that the victim was returning to their apartment complex and observed two males standing in the main entrance area, according to the release.

Officials said when the victim got closer to the men; one of them pointed a gun at the victim and ordered him into his apartment.

Once inside of the apartment, the men took miscellaneous items and they fled, according to the release.

Officials said there were no injuries reported during the incident.

The men are described as two black males approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, and between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. One of the men is described as having a muscular build, with short hair and was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and dark colored shorts, shoes and socks. The second man is described as having a medium build and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts, and dark colored shoes and socks.
