Madison author Susanna Daniel will visit the library Thursday to discuss her recently published novel.

Daniel, who won a national award for her 2011 book "Stiltsville," will stop by the second-floor meeting room at the Fitchburg Library to discuss her most recent work.

"Sea Creatures," published July 2013, is the story of a woman returning to Florida with her family after scandal in the Midwest. The story follows Georgia Quillian, working as an errand-runner for an artist living on a water vessel, and the mystery of her toddler's sudden loss of speech.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at the library, 5530 Lacy Road in Fitchburg.
