Italian hertitage festival back this weekend

The celebration of everything Italian is just days away. From Friday-Sunday, the Italian Workman’s Club of Madison will kick off its annual Italian heritage celebration, Festa Italia.

Festivities of the weekend will include live music, folk dancing, activities for kids, Italian food specialties and more.

Organizers said music will be free all weekend, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with Hometown Sweethearts and 8 p.m. with Milwaukee's Booze Brothers on Friday.

The pasta-eating contest takes place on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Organizers said parking is free for the McKee Farms Park event. 

Festa Italia hours run from 5-11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-7p.m. Sunday.
